We made the decision to use our presents for the baby shower decorations. I had purchased a pink and white infant blanket, which we hung over the side of the cradle. We pinned some rattles and other baby toys to the blanket with diaper pins. We then showed the little ensembles that my sister had bought. We finished the baby shower decorations for the presents table by putting a big teddy bear into the bassinet. It is so much fun to decorating for a baby shower! For the food service table we had an array of fresh cut flowers from the local florist. She used silky pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the display. We determined that no other baby shower party decorations needed to be put on this table. We did have pink napkins that we put on this table, together with a cake that was festooned with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket. We had also gotten a corsage for our niece and 1 for every of the new grandmas to be. We felt that the room looked very nice and we would not have to spend a whole lot of time cleaning up baby shower decorations because they would all be sent home as presents to our niece. We had a big turn out for the baby shower. My niece got several very nice presents. She was glad that we had the baby shower in a space that was not small. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the baby shower party was over the fellowship section was cleaned up and we were going home.
